Death inquest of psychiatric patient begins today

The inquest into the death of a woman will take place later after part of the land around the psychiatric institution where she had been an in-patient was excavated.

Mother of seven Alice Clifford was 57 years old went she vanished from St Loman's Hospital in Dublin on November 28, 1979.

Her inquest was adjourned last August after fresh evidence emerged that a trench dug at St Loman's had been filled in on the day she went missing.
