Bomb made safe in Tallaght

Army bomb disposal experts have made safe a bomb in south west Dublin.

Army bomb disposal experts have made safe a bomb in south west Dublin.

Described as "a crude viable improvised explosive device", it was found at the rear of a house in the Ardmore Drive area of Tallaght.

The Army Bomb Disposal team arrived at about 9am today and made the device safe without a controlled explosion.

The scene was declared safe an hour later.
