Young man killed in Cork crash, four others hurt

A 21-year-old man has been killed in a road collision in Co Cork.

The man was the driver of a car that collided with a pole at Bridgemount in Carrigaline at 5.30am this morning.

Four other occupants of the car, all in their early 20s, were taken to Cork University Hospital with minor injuries.

The Cork crash follows the deaths of two women in separate road collisions in counties Tipperary and Clare yesterday.
