Woman dies in Tipperary road accident
A 58-year-old woman has died in a road accident in Co Tipperary today.
The victim, a pedestrian, was struck by a minibus at Ballybeg, Littleton in Thurles shortly after 11am this morning.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were six passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. No one else was injured.
Meanwhile, a 74-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital after she was knocked down in Co Clare today.
The German tourist was visiting the Bunratty Folk Park when she was struck by a passing tractor.
She was rushed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where her condition is described as critical.
