Cork gardaí in major drugs haul

Gardai in Cork have arrested a man for questioning following the seizure of €50,000 worth of drugs on the outskirts of Ballincollig last night.

More than four kilos of herbal cannabis were seized when gardaí stopped and searched a car at Ballyburden, Ballincollig at around 10pm.

In a follow up operation a house was then searched in a rural area. A man from the Ballincollig area was arrested under Drug Trafficking legislation.

He is being questioned at Gurranabraher garda station.
