A 17-year-old boy has been further remanded in continuing custody charged with the attempted murder of a 16-year-old boy in Co Clare.

The accused youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on July 23 this year after he allegedly beat, stamped, and kicked the head of the injured party during a four-minute attack.

The injured youth, who is said to be making some form of recovery, was found by gardaí in an unconscious state shortly after the attack, at the Applegreen filling station in Corbally, located on the outskirts of Limerick.

Tonight at Limerick Children’s Court the 17-year old accused was remanded in custody to appear in court again on November 9.
