Gang attack householder with hammer

An armed gang broke into a man’s house and assaulted him with a hammer, it emerged today.

A number of men, masked and dressed in wigs, forced their way into the property in Redgap, Rathcoole, south Co Dublin, at around 9.20pm yesterday and stole two legally held shotguns.
