Man questioned after alleged assault in Galway

A man is being questioned by gardaí following an alleged assault on a woman in Galway city last night.

It is understood the woman was seriously assaulted in the Bohermore area shortly after 3am.

Garda forensic personnel are carrying out an examination in the area where the incident is alleged to have occured.
