Man dies following Cork crash

A man has died following a crash in Co. Cork.

The crash - involving an articulated truck and a car - happened on the N20 Cork to Mallow Road near Rathduff at around 9 .30am this morning.

The driver of the car, a 41-year-old man, died at the scene.

The road is closed pending a full technical examination.

Motorists travelling towards Mallow will be diverted at Bweeng and those travelling towards Cork will be diverted at Bottle Hill. Gardaí said that ideally motorists should avoid taking this route if possible.
