A new 'safe and found' scheme has been introduced in Dublin to help reunite lost children with their families.

A parent, guardian or child who has become separated from their companion can immediately alert the security in stores displaying the 'safe and found' sticker.

The security guard will then radio the control centre from where a call out will be made to the security guards in the surrounding area.

The new initiative is coordinated by Dublin Crimewatch and supported by the Dublin City Business Association.
