TDs 'earned €2.3m in summer expenses', despite Dáil holiday

It has been reported that TDs received more than €2.3m in expenses over the summer, despite the fact the Dáil was not sitting for 12 weeks.

The Sunday Independent reports the expenses relate to the period from the beginning of June to the end of September, even though the Dáil did not sit from July 8 to September 29.
