Man arrested in connection with Dublin attack
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with an attack in Dublin which has left a man fighting for his life.
The 27-year-old victim, believed to be a Polish national, is in a critical condition in Beaumont hospital.
Gardaí found the man on a roadway in the Newtown Industrial Estate in Cooklock at around 5am yesterday morning.
He was on his way to work nearby when the incident occured.
Gardaí sealed off the area and a forensic examination was carried out.
They are appealing for anybody who was in the Malahide Road or in the vicinity of the industrial estate between 4am and 5am to contact them, in particular taxi or delivery drivers.
Gardaí arrested a man in his mid-20s this morning in connection with the attack.
He is being held and questioned at Coolock Garda Station.
