Deceased toddler's mother in court on neglect charge

The mother of a deceased toddler appeared in court today charged with child neglect.

Rachael Martin (aged 25) from Erne Park, Kesh, Co Fermanagh, was accused at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court of wilfully neglecting her daughter Millie in the days before her death last December.

Martin’s former partner, Barry Michael McCarney (aged 30) has already been charged with the murder of the 15-month-old.

Martin was granted bail to appear in court again next month.
