Nearly 16,000 to take part in World Heart Day walks

This is World Heart Day and up to 16,000 people are taking part in walks across Ireland.

Irish Rugby player Keith Woods is leading a 5k walk in Dublin's Phoenix Park, while Olympic Silver Medallist Olive Loughnane is heading a similar event in Galway.

The Irish Heart Foundation is encouraging people to get involved in walking as exercise to improve heart health.
