Ireland's Grandparent of the Year, 100-year-old Dubliner Andrew O'Brien, is meeting the capital's Lord Mayor this afternoon.

Today is Grandparents Day and children across the country have been asked to explain why their grandparents are so special.

Dermot Kirwan of Friends of the Elderly has said there was a huge reaction.
