Court remands murder accused in Cork

A 38-year-old man has been remanded in custody after he was charged wth the murder of a taxi driver in Cork earlier this week

Lloyd Buckley was charged with the murder of Michael Healy at flat G, number 3 Rocksprings Terrace, St Lukes, between September 18 and 23.

Mr Buckley with an address at flat F, Rocksprings Terrace, made no reply when the charge was put to him.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in court again next Thursday.

Solicitor Frank Buttimer asked that Buckley would receive appropriate medical attention in prison and he was also granted free legal aid.
