The 19-year-old accused of murdering Dublin schoolgirl Michaela Davis has made a brief court appearance, his third since his arrest.

Jonathan Byrne of Lohunda Downs, Clonsilla was further remanded in custody to appear in court on Tuesday, October 12.

His solicitor has asked for a copy of his statements to gardaí and recordings of his interviews.

The teenager is charged with murdering 12-year-old Michaela Davis on August 28, the day her body was found in undergrowth by the Royal Canal.
