Harney set to announce new patient safety measures

Health Minister Mary Harney is to announce a number of significant initiatives today on the issue of patient safety.

The 'Patient Safety First' declaration of commitment will also be signed.

This underlines the collective efforts of the main health organisations to work together to drive up the quality of healthcare here and improve the safety of patients.

A new website about patient safety will also be launched.
