Smith hints at cuts in farm payments in Budget

The Agriculture Minister Brendan Smith is not ruling out further cuts to farm payments in the upcoming Budget.

Mr Smith, speaking at the Ploughing Championships, said all programmes of expenditure for his Department will be examined by the Government as part of the estimates process.
