Ahern: Cowen controversy 'a storm in a teacup'

The former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has described the controversy surrounding Brian Cowen over the past week as a "storm in a teacup".

Mr Ahern said: "sideshows are not really important", and went on to say the focus for the Government has to be on delivering a very tough budget.
