700 people turn out for Navan Hospital protest
Up to 700 people have turned out in Co Meath to protest over cutbacks at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan.
Earlier this month, the HSE announced its decision to end acute surgery at the hospital.
The A&E department will continue to function on a 24-hour basis.
Local Councillor Peader Tóibín says local people are refusing to accept the cuts.
