Up to 58,000 to get cervical cancer vaccination

A nationwide vaccination programme to protect against cervical cancer is underway for first and second year girls.

It will immunise up to 58,000 girls against Human Papilloma Virus - or HPV - which is proved to cause cervical cancer.
