Councillors to receive copy of incinerator contract

Dublin City Councillors are to receive a copy of the contract between the council and Covanta - the developer of the controversial Poolbeg incinerator in Ringsend.

In correspondence to a solicitor representing Fine Gael Councillor Catherine Noone, City Manager John Tierney agreed to provide all councillors with an edited version of the contract.

Commercially sensitive information will be blacked out of the document.

It was not clear when councillors will receive the redacted contract.
