Father of 9/11 victim calls Koran burning 'distasteful'
The father of a victim of the 9/11 terror attacks has condemned the threats to burn the Koran made by an American Pastor.
Jack Lynch, whose fire fighter son Michael died in the World Trade Centre, is originally from Tralee.
The Lynch family has since set up The Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation.
This is a scholarship program to provide grants to enable children of firefighters and other victims of the September 11 attacks and other fires and disasters to afford higher education.
Mr Lynch said what Pastor Terry Jones had been planning is "very distasteful".
