One in ten 14 to 16-year-olds have harmed themselves, conference told
A conference on suicide prevention opening this morning has been told that almost one in 10 teenagers aged between 14 and 16 have harmed themselves, and half of those had done so more than once.
Suicide prevention groups have described Government funding in the area as "abysmal" and they want the Health Minister to give suicide the same priority as road deaths.
