The Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan will put the case to Brussels later that Anglo Irish Bank should be wound down.

Mr Lenihan is attending a two-day meeting of EU Finance Ministers and will meet the EU Commissioner who will rubber stamp the bank's future plans.
