Funeral of murdered schoolgirl takes place

The funeral has taken place of the murdered Dublin schoolgirl, Michaela Davis, whose body was found beside the Royal Canal in Dublin last Saturday.

The 12-year-old had been reported missing by her parents in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Her body was found along the Royal Canal in Clonsilla by a man out walking.

School children formed a guard of honour at St Mochta's church in Porterstown where today's funeral mass took place.
