Search resumes for man missing on Valentia Island
A search has resumed this morning for a man missing on Valentia Island in Co Kerry.
The alarm was raised at about 10pm yesterday when the 28-year-old foreign national failed to meet up with three companions who were taking photos on the shoreline.
The Valentia Lifeboat, Knightstown Coastguard Unit and Shannon helicopter were involved in the operation, which was called off before 2am today.
The same units began searching again at first light, with the focus of the operation on Culloo Rock, on the west side of the island.
