Justice Minister Dermot Ahern is denying that Fianna Fáil and the Greens are split over the future of Anglo Irish Bank.

Justice Minister Dermot Ahern is denying that Fianna Fáil and the Greens are split over the future of Anglo Irish Bank.

Ahern's comments came after the Green Party Chairman, Senator Dan Boyle, today called for a quicker wind-down of the nationalised institution.

Green ministers John Gormley and Eamon Ryan are also expected to tell the Cabinet this week that they no longer favour an orderly wind-down of Anglo Irish, or plans to split it into a good and bad bank.
