Woman killed in Sligo crash

A woman driver has been killed in a crash in Sligo.

The crash occurred at about 9am today on the N4 at Drumfin, Riverstown. Two cars travelling in opposite directions collided, resulting in the death of one of the drivers, a woman in her 60s. She was pronounced dead at scene.

A passenger in the woman's car was taken to Sligo General Hospital, as was the female driver (and only occupant) of the other car.

Gardaí at Ballymote, Co Sligo, are investigating the crash.
