Three stable after falling ill during Cork drug trial
Three men remain in a stable condition in Cork University Hospital after they fell ill during a drug trial in a Cork city clinic.
The men had been testing a new cancer treatment drug at the Shandon clinic when they fell ill.
The medication had been tested there before and adverse reactions were not expected.
The Irish Medicines Board is investigating.
Dr Neil O'Cleary of the Irish Council of General Practitioners said: "We have had this once or twice in Dublin in the last 20 years…so it is quite unusual."
