Mayo fishermen rescued

Two fishermen have been brought to safety after a rescue operation in Co Mayo tonight.

The alarm was raised at about 7.30pm this evening, after the men failed to returned home from a trip on Lough Mask.

The Valencia coastguard co-ordinated the search and the Sligo-based Coastguard helicopter assisted.

The men were located safe and well and brought to safety shortly after 10pm this evening.
