Data Protection Commissioner to monitor Facebook feature

The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner has said it will be monitoring the new Facebook feature 'Places' very closely.

The feature uses GPS and mobile phone signals to alert friends on the social-networking site to each other's location at any given time.
