Electricians to stage work stoppage at St James' Hospital
Electricians working at one of Dublin's largest and busiest hospitals are to stage an eight-hour work stoppage as their dispute with hospital management continues.
It is the third time this month members of the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union have walked off the job at St James's Hospital in a row over outsourcing work.
They are claiming management has brought in outside contractors without consultation and has reduced their duties on-site.
Talks at the Labour Relations Commission last week adjourned without resolution.
TEEU Assistant General Secretary Arthur Hall is assuring patients that the stoppage will not affect hospital services.
