FG reveals 18,000 operations were cancelled last year

Fine Gael's health spokesperson, Dr James Reilly, has said the number of cancelled operations last year has risen by 10% on the previous year.

New figures released to Dr Reilly show that almost 18,000 operations were cancelled in 2009 and means that over 50,000 operations have been cancelled in total since 2007.
