Up to 15,000 Apprentice Boys to march in Derry today

Police and politicians in the North are appealing for calm ahead of the biggest parade in the Protestant marching season.

Around 15,000 people are expected to take part in today's Apprentice Boys demonstration in Derry.

There will be a large-scale security operation in place.

Trouble flared in the city last year, but Sinn Féin's East Derry representative Billy Leonard is hoping it will be peaceful today.
