Attack on Ethiopian athlete in Limerick condemned

There has been condemnation of a violent attack on a young Ethiopian athlete in Limerick today.

Lebeta Debela, 22, who is a member of the Limerick Athletics Club, was targeted while out running in the outskirts of the city last Thursday.

He was rushed to the Mid Western Regional hospital in an unconscious state, and spent a number of days being treated there, but has now been discharged.
