Police look for British man after Irishman gunned down in Spain

Police investigating the shooting of an Irish tourist on the Costa del Sol are searching for a British man, who is believed to be behind the killing.

Forty-one-year-old John O'Neill was gunned down following a row in Coco's bar in Benalmadena in the early hours of yesterday morning.

He was in Spain with his wife and two children to celebrate a friend's wedding.

It is understood a row broke out inside the bar and the father-of-two from Coolock in Dublin was shot as he left the pub.

Reporter with La Opinion newspaper Nicole Cacho said the killer left the bar and returned with a gun. He fired a shot, John O'Neill ran and then fell down, fatally injured, metres from the bar.
