Fairview shooting: Gardaí discover burnt-out car

Gardaí in Dublin have discovered a burnt-out car, believed to be the one used by those involved in a shooting incident last night in which three men were injured, two critically.

A lone gunman opened fire outside the Players Lounge on Fairview Strand shortly after midnight, shooting three men, including the pub's doorman.

Two of the men are understood to be in a critical condition in hospital while a third man is in a stable condition.

Superintendent Joe O'Connor from Clontarf garda station, who is leading the investigation, said the red Volkswagen Golf was discovered late last night and that gardaí believe the car left the Fairview area shortly after last night's shooting.
