Two critically hurt in shooting outside Dublin pub

Two men are in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting in Dublin.

Another man, believed to be a doorman at the premises, was seriously injured in the attack which happened at the Players Lounge in Fairview shortly after midnight.

Gardaí were called to the pub at around 12.30am last night.

It is understood a lone gunman approached a group who were standing outside the Players Lounge at Fairview Strand and opened fire, shooting three men.

The victims were rushed to hospital. Two are said to be in a critical condition in hospital while a third man is understood to be in a serious condition.

The area has been sealed off pending a full technical examination and the road in closed.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area last night to come forward.
