Hunt begins for off-licence robber

Detectives were today hunting a man who held up an off-licence armed with a knife.

The masked robber entered the shop in the Beersbridge Road area of Belfast at 9.45pm yesterday, threatened staff and made off with a sum of cash.

No workers were injured but they were said to be shaken.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the man was aged in his mid to late 20s, was clean shaven and wearing dark clothes and trainers and white socks.
