20 new jobs as Dempsey signs new helicopters deal
Transport Minister Noel Dempsey has signed the contract for new search and rescue helicopters with CHC Ireland, leading to the creation of 20 new jobs.
The Irish Coast Guard Helicopters provide round-the-clock maritime and coastal search and rescue services.
One hundred and thirty people are currently employed in the service.
The new Sikorsky S92A aircraft will operate out of Dublin, Shannon, Sligo and Waterford.
