Gardaí investigate attempted robbery in Navan
Gardaí are hunting a number of men following an attempted robbery in Navan this morning.
At about 11.30am, two men on a 'scrambler' motorbike approached a cash in transit van outside a business in the Co Meath town.
Details are still emerging as to what happened next, but gardaí say they have established the men failed to get any money from the van.
Two men left the scene in an Audi A3 car in the direction of Navan Rugby Club, while another man fled towards a local housing estate.
Gardaí have issued descriptions of the men who were on the motorbike. One was of slim build and about 6 foot tall, while the other was about 5 foot 9.
Both were wearing green rainjackets and leggings and balaclavas.
