Citywest staff reassured that hotel has a future
The Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation has reassured staff at the Citywest Hotel complex in Dublin that the business remains viable.
Earlier this week, Bank of Scotland Ireland appointed a receiver to the hotel and leisure centre, which employs around 400 people.
Conor Lenihan today met owner Jim Mansfield and receiver Martin Ferris to discuss the hotel's future.
Mr Lenihan said the troubles affecting the company related to cashflow rather than to operating costsm and that protecting jobs and preserving the business was the receiver's priority.
