An unemployed Swords mechanic who was caught moving drugs twice within two weeks in order to clear his drug debt has been sentenced to eight years with the last two years suspended.

An unemployed Swords mechanic who was caught moving drugs twice within two weeks in order to clear his drug debt has been sentenced to eight years with the last two years suspended.

Shane Flanagan (aged 31) of Mooretown Avenue in pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to possession of cocaine for sale or supply on April 16, 2009 in a car park in Swords and possession of a second larger cache of cocaine valued at €212,000 at Bothar na Breena Road on May 1, 2009.
