A man is to appear in court in Dublin today charged in connection with the murder of Helen Donegan.

A man is to appear in court in Dublin today charged in connection with the murder of Helen Donegan.

Bernard Curran - of no fixed abode but originally from Newcastle in Co Dublin - appeared before Blanchardstown District Court on Monday.

The 52-year-old was remanded in custody to appear in court again today.

The 30-year-old mother of one's remains were found in the boot of a car near the village of Newcastle on June 22, almost seven weeks after she had gone missing.

The results of a post mortem examination revealed she had been shot.
