Financial constraints 'leading to more abortions'
The number of women considering a termination because of financial concerns is on the increase.
New data from the Dublin Well Woman Centre has revealed that of the 2,000 women who presented to the organisation for counselling last year, one in five said financial pressures were the main reason for seeking information on abortion.
Some of the women were married and already had children, some were prefessionals who had taken a pay cut and some had recently lost their jobs.
