Property tax 'could cost Government support of two TDs'
Brian Cowen could lose support from some independent TDs if he pushes ahead with plans for a property tax, according to a report today.
The Sunday Independent reports that Jackie Healy Rae and Michael Lowry want a meeting with the Taoiseach to discuss the issue, as well as the proposed stag hunting ban.
A poll carried out by the paper also shows that 78% of people questioned oppose a property tax, with a majority of those saying they would not pay it.
