Fine Gael has today called on Taoiseach Brian Cowen to intervene in what it claims is a 'conflict of interest' for Minister for Environment John Gormley in respect to the Poolbeg incinerator.

"It is inappropriate that a Minister should be adopting a political stance in his constituency on a particularly issue while at the same time directly responsible for all decisions relating to the project," said Fine Gael Environment Spokesperson Phil Hogan.
