Callely will return expenses cash if appropriate
Ivor Callely has told a Seanad Committee that he will return money he claimed in expenses if it is deemed that he was wrong to claim it.
He added that, in hindsight, he would have done things differently, perhaps by closing down his constituency office in Killester in Dublin.
The Fianna Fáil Senator and former TD is being investigated for over €81,000 he claimed in travel and subsistence from a house that he owns in West Cork.
The former Dublin North Central TD says he has "always been open and honest" to the Oireachtas about his expense claims.
